HOLIDAY WEEKEND- NO HOMEWORK FOR WEEKEND- TEACHER SURVEYS- LATE ASSIGNMENTS
Important Announcements for this long weekend
- There will be No online classes Friday May 1st-Labor Day, Monday May 4th – Battle of Puebla ( moved from 5th of May), Tuesday May 5th SEP PD day.
Exceptions: IBDP students in 11th and 12th grade with online meetings/lab practices programmed on Tuesday May 5th for Chemistry/Biology, Extended Essay and CAS.
- Teachers are not permitted to assign any new assignments to be due during or after the long weekend (Friday May 1st and Tuesday May 5th) or for the first day back.
Exceptions:
- If a student was assigned a project/assignment prior to Wednesday April 29 with a due date this weekend or after those are not considered new assignments and should be completed.
- All students (or parents of younger children) should answer all surveys about their individual teachers’ classes between Friday May 1st & Monday May 4th by 3pm. They will be located on the Schoology calendar on Friday May 1st. These surveys will give you an individual voice to garner more support for you (or your child), allow each teacher to know their best practices and areas to improve as well as, give the school specific evidence to better support teachers with what they need to make the online learning experience even more valuable and enriching.
- Congratulations to all students who have handed in all your assignments! You have earned a work free 5 day weekend! To those students who still have outstanding assignments from the past weeks online, this is your chance to get caught up and still not be penalized for any late assignments. Please be sure to finish any outstanding assignments from the period of Monday March 23rd to April 28th and hand in on Schoology by Tuesday at 11pm. Any assignments after those dates will begin to incur penalization for being late.
All assignments assigned starting again on Wednesday May 6th will have the no late penalty policy in place again, but it is important to try and get them done and not fall behind too much again.
If you need any individual help please be sure to contact your teacher so he or she can help you. If you have a very special situation, please reach out to the school psychologist in your section to help you with an individual educational recovery plan.
Working together we will have a successful end of the school year!
