Dear Camino Community,
We hope all are safe and healthy in these challenging times. As you know we have all had to make adjustments in our daily lives at home and at work. We as a community have shown great resilience and fortitude in working together to adjust to the current pandemia. As a school we have been working diligently in preparation for the next school year. We have carried out a process of meta-analysis of best practices from the IB and IB World Schools from around the globe as well as feedback from 3 rounds of surveys from students, parents and teachers to make continuous adjustments and changes for our online learning program. We are prepared for both contingencies of a fully online learning program and face to face classes with social distancing and hygiene protocols. You can consult this plan in our summary video (you must activate the subtitles option on YouTube and make sure to select the language in the video settings menu, the gear-shaped button, since the subtitles are available in Spanish and English) of the overall action plan providing you information required to prepare for the next school year. Please consult this video for details which is written and spoken in English but subtitled in Spanish. This plan is subject to changes in the event government authorities or the ministry mandate new protocols. We also will make adjustments to any aspects that need further enhancements.
This plan was previously presented to the school board, the Parent society and most recently to several regional SEP supervisors for their feedback and approval.
Additionally in order to give you our community the opportunity to share upon this plan we have provided you access to a Schoology group called CEC Action Plan 2020 2021.
This Schoology Group is to post questions, clarify doubts or make suggestions regarding the 2020 2021 Action Plan. Please do not post complaints or topics regarding individual concerns about a specific teacher or class or other school topics. Use the channels of communication outlined in our communication plan policy for those topics. As well, please use proper online etiquette as per our social media policy and school rules. Our School Director Mr Heath Sparrow, will answer any posts here in order and within 48 working hours. Posts on Fridays and weekends will not be answered until the following Monday. To access the Schoology group do the following
- Log in to your Schoology Account
- Go to the right of your screen and click on the icon GROUPS and then MY Groups
