SACS AdvancED diagnostic committee criteria for participation.
1. Committees
a. 3 committees: leadership capacity, learning capacity, resource capacity
b. 1 of the committees will be conducted in English ( to be determined )
c. Each committee consists of 9 people:
i. Chair – school leadership team member
ii. 3 teachers – 1 from each section of the school
iii. 2 parents
iv. 2 students
v. 1 board member
2. Criteria for committee membership
a. Teachers/Staff
i. 1 of 3 have at least 5 years’ experience at CEC for institutional memory
ii. Native English speakers will be given opportunity for English committee
iii. Ability to be reflective
b. Parents for each committee membership
i. Preferably at least 1 member of the parent society
ii. At least 1 family member in school for at least 5 years for institutional memory
iii. Another active member of CEC community who is not necessarily in the Parent
Society or has less than 5 years in the school
iv. Preference to have a blend of national and international families represented.
c. Students
i. Grade 6 or higher
ii. At least 1 student from the student council
iii. At least 1 student from upper/elementary
iv. At least 1 boy and 1 girl in each committee.
