We hope everyone is doing well after Hurricane Newton. I am very proud to announce that the school is ready for classes tomorrow. The majority of our staff reported to work today to make repairs and clean in preparation for classes for your children on Thursday the 8th. I would like to thank all of them for their dedication and support to provide your children the safe and clean environment we continuously provide here at Camino. One area that is still under repair is the Soccer field. The frame structure itself is in perfect condition as it was designed for stormy weather, however the strong winds ripped many of strips of cloth that provide the shading. We have hired a crane that will be used to reach the strips and remove them on Thursday morning. The use of the soccer field for Physical Education Classes and recess has been suspended for Thursday the 8th but we plan to have the field ready for sports classes during the afternoon.
The SEP mandated PLANEA assessment for 4th grade that was scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday this week will be moved one day and are scheduled for Thursday and Friday this week.
The general meeting for new Parents and the Parent Society that was scheduled for Monday Sept 5th from 6-8pm will be moved to Monday September 12th at the same time.
The Maternal Meet the Teachers meeting scheduled for Tuesday Sept 6th from 1:30 –2:30 will be moved to Tuesday September 13th at the same time.
The Elementary Meet the Teachers meeting scheduled for Tuesday Sept 6th from 6-8 pm will be moved to Tuesday September 13th at the same time.
The Kinder 1 Meet the Teachers meeting scheduled for Wednesday Sept 7th from 2-3pm will be moved to Wednesday Sept 14th at the same time.
The Middle School Meet the Teachers meeting scheduled for Wednesday Sept 7th from 6-8pm will be moved to Wednesday Sept 14th at the same time.
The scheduled Meet the Teachers meetings on Thursday Sept 8th for Kinder 2 from 2-3pm and High school from 6-8pm are still scheduled as normal, as is the K3 Meeting for Friday the 9th from 2-3pm
All other services are in full operation including the cafetería. A friendly reminder that we resume classes with Day 6 on Thursday.
